Yum – I miss lilac.
It’s almost Jasmine time here – we have a Night Blooming Jasmine and an Orange Jasmin. The Orange Jasmin smells almost like lilacs – but apparently you can’t get it anymore. My Husband has been rooting some seeds from it – once they get a bit stronger he will plant them behind the lanai.

Your garden IS intoxicating, it is rather shady and protected and the fragrances are captured there. You have always had the knack of growing beautiful flowers and veggies, a green thumb for sure. Your garden this year is enchanting and i am so honored to have planted in my own a few of your gems! Thank you

You caught me standing under my lilacs and other favorite spots in my gardens just inhaling wafts of sweet scents coming from them. Spring and rebirth of the earth is a heady scent of itself, mixed with the smells of the fecund earth and newly mown grass and you’ve lost me.
